The LegalBar.dotm provides the “user interface” for the LegalBar tools in Word. It is separate from the LegalBar “program” files allowing each firm to customize it to meet the way their users work. This session will cover the standard controls and the corresponding procedures in the LegalBar.dotm. In addition, we will explore ways to add custom ribbon controls to the LegalBar Ribbon XML. This session is specific to Word 2007. Firms using LegalBar in earlier versions of Word should consider the “Customizing the LegalBar Toolbar” session instead.
Firms with CoreRelate can choose to extend their LegalBar by writing their own custom VBA integration into the CoreRelate Database. This session is for the seasoned VBA developer that is looking to leverage the document production strength of LegalBar against the incredible data available in Matterlink. Note that users of any custom solutions will require a valid MatterLink license to access the necessary data in the CoreRelate Database.
The BEC LegalBar.dot provides the “user interface” for the LegalBar tools in Word. It is separate from the LegalBar “program” files allowing each firm to customize it to meet the way their users work. This session will cover the standard buttons and the corresponding procedures on the LegalBar toolbar. In addition, we will learn to change the toolbar buttons and add buttons to launch a custom template. This session is specific to Word 2003 and earlier versions. Firms using LegalBar in Word 2007 should consider the “Customizing the LegalBar Ribbon” session instead.
